The division of Building Permits & Inspections reviews all permit applications to see that they meet the requirements and codes adopted by the Village. We are responsible for inspecting at the determined intervals, the construction as described in the permit to verify that it is built according to the approved plans. We also coordinate feedback from all departments and maintain all records associated with the permit from application to occupancy. Public Notice-Attention Contractors and Homeowners Effective July 1, 2008, all contractors and/or homeowners who wish to submit a residential or commercial/multi-family building permit application must attend a pre-submittal meeting with the Permit Control Coordinator. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO EXPRESS BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS.
