Downtown Palatine Holiday Wine and Taste Walk
Friday, November 21, 5:00-9:00pm

The Downtown Palatine Business Association opens it doors with special holiday shopping in a cheerful setting. Enjoy browsing through stores decorated in Holiday Fashion that will include festive wines from Dobby’s World Wide Liquors, fruits, cheeses and chocolates. There will drawings for a unique Shopping Spree valued at over $700.00 as well as special promotional items.  The winner of the Shopping Spree will be announced at 4:50 PM on Saturday, November 22, at the Village of Palatine Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Holiday Marketplace

The historic downtown Village of Palatine transforms itself into a winter wonderland with delightful downtown shopping, free horse drawn carriage rides, and the Holiday Marketplace. Ornaments, hand-made wooden toys, ship models made by a master maritime artisan, spices, gourmet buffalo meat & artisan cheeses, packaged spiced nuts, home-made bakery items, handcrafted birdhouses, garden items, soaps and unique aprons, holiday wreaths, along with long-standing favorite, Tony the Knife Sharpener (do not forget to bring your knives) will be just a few of the booths featured at the Holiday Marketplace.

As a special fundraiser for Almost Home Foundation, Santa Claus will be available to have your pet’s picture taken. Celebrating its third year, the Almost Home Foundation is an all volunteer, not-for-profit 501c3 charity organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned animals from the northwest suburbs. The Palatine Inverness Arts Council (PAIC) presents The Winter Art Fair featuring fine art, and other artful holiday gifts by 15 local artists. PIAC is committed to the cultural, educational and economic growth of the members of our communities through support and encouragement of performing and visual arts and artists.

The Village of Palatine Holiday Tree Lighting
Saturday, November 22, 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Town Square located at the intersection of Smith and Palatine Roads.

Mayor Rita Mullins, Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer will be lifted into the air to light the tree in Towne Square. Festive entertainment will be provided by the Palatine Children’s Concert Choir, Orchesis Dance Troupe of William Fremd High School and Walter R. Sundling Junior High School Trombone Quartet.  We hope you will be able to join us in this wonderful holiday tradition!

Santa Claus at the Holiday Marketplace

Santa Claus will be in town to meet with residents and hear everyone’s Christmas wishes! Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture priceless moments with Santa and friends! Photographs will also be offered by the Downtown Palatine Business Association. Complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn donated by Harris Bank Palatine will also be provided.
