Palatine Fire Department Welcome to the Palatine Fire Department web site. The purpose of our web site is to educate and inform all who view this site about the vast array of services and the highly trained and motivated personnel that make up the Palatine Fire Department. Our Department is a full service organization that is located approximately 15 miles northwest of O’Hare International Airport. Our combined fire and EMS calls total over 7,000 requests for assistance annually. We protect over 66,000 people within 14 square miles. We are actively involved with surrounding fire departments providing automatic and mutual aid wherever and whenever possible Palatine Fire Department
