The Cook County Department of Public
Health (CCDPH) is offering Palatine residents Freedom From
Smoking®, a no cost seven week program produced by the American
Lung Association to provide the support and skills needed to
quit smoking.
Classes will be held on Monday
evenings during December 15, 2008 to January 26, 2009 from 6:00
to 7:30 pm at the Palatine Village Hall, Meeting Room C, 200 E
Wood Street.
A trained facilitator, who
understands the unique challenges of quitting, will lead the
sessions. Session topics include: Week 1 - On the Road To
Freedom, Week 2 - Wanting to Quit, Week 3 - Quit Day, Week 4 -
Winning Strategies, Week 5 - The New You, Week 6 - Staying Off,
and Week 7 - Celebration!

The CCDPH Tobacco and Substance
Abuse Prevention Unit is dedicated to creating tobacco-free
communities in suburban Cook County through advocacy, education,
prevention and cessation. Funding for this program is made
